Uni
Holy crap I leave for uni on Sunday! This will be a large-scale change. Dad can't come to see me settled in because he couldn't get time off work :(

Very scary. Of course I haven't started packing yet, I've still got 2 and a half days at home :)
I'm sad that my Dad's not coming, but my Mum will be there. My sister might come from Wellington as well. I told her I'd make her a false beard and she can stand in for Dad.
How far do you have to travel to get there? Are your parents taking you?

Yeah, I'm going to start packing on Saturday. Thought I had today and tomorrow to start getting organised but have got more work (fulltime) and cricket to watch on Friday night.
Lol, get that beard organised :)
Am coming up from Welly, both my parents are coming up. Dad thought he and Mum were coming to the dinner but then I broke the bad news tonight. Poor guy.

Not letting your parents go to the dinner? Your poor Dad, after driving all that way :)
I'm not going to the dinner, I'll go somewhere with my Mum and sister instead.
I can't watch the cricket on Friday, it's my friend's 18th. Damn friends :)
Yay, tomorrow Mum and Dad are getting me a laptop! Yay for Uni! And birthdays! (actually, my birthday's not til April, which means I can't do anything for O week) But Yay!

Yep I'm a big meanie had discussed it with Mum but Dad seemed so gutted the poor wee thing.
You are going to the rest of the programme tho?
Damn that 18th, my friends and I have an agreement about my cricket watching the know not to expect too much of me when there is cricket on and we work around that - you might find me propping up a few bars in the next few weeks watching cricket.
Yay for your laptop - they are great its like your own personal little thing :). You poor thing having to wait til April, do you have other means of ID ;)

Usually when there's cricket I just say no to we people ask me to do stuff. Or I make them watch cricket with me, as I did with my very uncrickety friend last weekend. THat turned out great, I think I've converted her.
I am going to the rest of the programme, I think I need to as I only know one person going down there and I'm not hugely outgoing. It sounds good.
I'm just going to be a good little girl and wait til April - Largely because I am a terrible liar and would be caught immediately if I tried to use an 'alternate ID'.

man we are so on the same wave length!
good on you, am relaly looking foward to it now. One of my friends who went up there today coz she is doing teaching said it is great so far,so hopefully there are a lot of social opportunities.
You are so good - I don't know whether I would but am glad I don't have to :)

I'm not actually a big drinker anyway. I think you're still allowed into places but aren't allowed to drink. If that's the case, I might be propping up a few bars watching the cricket myself. I'll be the one with the coke.
According to the many members of my family that went to Massey the hostels are really social and you make friends straight away. My brother said his first year at uni (in Massey hostels) was the best year of his life.

Thats great to hear about Massey I have a few mates going up, one of my closest and longest friends is in her 4th year and am so ready to meet new ppl and do all that kind of stuff.
